Hello and welcome!
Sometimes, our struggles can be invisible to the outside world – and these can be the hardest battles to face and conquer. Our brain tries its best to keep us safe, but this does not necessarily lead to happiness or fulfillment. I want to support you in working through your toughest challenges and provide hope, encouragement, and maybe some insight along the way.
Some of our goals may look like:
Learning how to make sense of what is going on in your head – once you can put abstract concepts into words, it becomes a lot less scary
Beginning to appreciate your mind – and navigating when to listen to, respond to, or challenge thoughts
Seeing that you are not broken – over time, these thoughts will become quieter and feel less invasive
It can be difficult to find spaces where we feel really heard and where we can be our most authentic selves. My patience and understanding create a non-judgmental space where your genuine self can emerge, because this is the space where healing and growth can occur. I empathize with how challenging the journey to feeling whole can be because I have been there myself – and my experiences allow me to better understand what you’re going through and help you feel better.
I am a licensed professional counselor and a doctoral candidate at the University of Cincinnati, and I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma informed care. I am committed to my growth as a counselor and am passionate about helping people get the most they can out of therapy.
Outside of the counseling world, I love working out, traveling, going to concerts, and watching sports – specifically, the Golden State Warriors. I have a spoiled three-year-old cat named Oracle who brings me endless joy, along with my partner and my family.
