Hello and welcome!
My name is Liz Gray and I am a licensed professional counselor. I am a listener and empath by nature; with a life long passion for providing adolescents and young adults a safe place to share, explore and grow.
I help people who are struggling with feeling down, anxious or overwhelmed, and who don’t know where they fit in. I help guide people in their journey to happiness and self growth so that they can find their own path to joy. From my years of working with young people I know that figuring out what’s next can feel daunting and sometimes overwhelming, however having a safe place to express and share can help them feel less alone and supported in their journey.
I believe that therapy is not about giving or receiving direction or being told what to do. Rather therapy is a place for self-discovery. It’s a conversation guiding a person to finding peace in their own life. Finding what works best for him or her to reach the happiness and contentment that they desire for themselves. I do not practice a prescribed form of therapy - or a one size fits all method. I believe it is essential to meet each of the people I work with at exactly where they are, and together move in a direction that they want. I have tools, practices and exercises that I can lead but what I believe is most important is developing a trusting and open client-therapist relationship that allows for freedom of expression and exploration.
Things we can talk about:
Feelings of belonging (life, relationships, friendships)
Deciding on next career or life path
Anxiety and worry
General feelings of depression
That feeling of not knowing what is off but feeling unhappy in your current state
Education and Training:
I am a licensed professional counselor. I received my master’s in counseling from the University of Colorado Denver, and I have experience working in both clinical and school settings.
When I am not working you can find me spending time with my husband and twin boys exploring Cincinnati - getting as much family time and fresh air as we can.
I look forward to connecting with you.
