Gabi Wilkinson Headshot

I am SO happy that you are taking steps toward self-care, personal growth, and fulfillment, and I am honored to be a part of that!

My name is Gabi, and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Ohio. I offer telehealth therapy sessions for anyone located in Ohio, and I enjoy helping women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or life transitions. I have a special focus working with mothers, but I am excited to work with anyone who is ready to collaborate and grow.

I help women slow down the racing thoughts in their heads, learn how to feel confident and more secure, and get back to feeling carefree and happy. For many of my clients, life has become a burden and they worry about dropping the ball and letting down the people they care about. It’s hard to communicate to the people around you how you’re feeling so you keep trying to “push through” the stress and hope that somehow things will get better.

Many people think their anxiety and depression is an unavoidable part of life, but it’s not true. As a therapist, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to have the support and guidance of someone who believes in you and who is in your corner. I can help you develop skills to face your fears and regain a sense of control in your life.

Some common things I help my clients work through:

  • Creating a healthy work/life balance

  • Managing stress and anxiety

  • Feeling less pressure to make everyone happy

  • Navigating changing family dynamics and other life transitions

  • Losing your sense of self and independence

  • Feelings of isolation and sadness

  • Coping with the demands of unique parenting experiences

I hope to provide a judgement-free space where you feel safe sharing what is important to YOU. We will start our journey with open and supportive dialogue to create a realistic, manageable set of goals. Therapy is not “one size fits all” so I tailor my therapeutic approach to what works for you.

For the mom’s out there: Parenting is hard! It doesn’t matter if your title of “mother” or “parent” comes with a qualifier - biological, step, birth, adoptive, or foster. As a mother of 4, I get it! I hope to provide a judgement-free space where you feel safe sharing what is important to YOU. I believe that there are many common things that people struggle with regardless of their path to parenthood. I also believe that each person is an individual who deserves a plan to reach their goals that is specific to their needs.

It’s possible to reduce the impact of stress on your life. It’s possible to have a more peaceful home. It’s possible to get back to feeling like yourself again.

There is a reason that we are told “secure your own oxygen mask before assisting others” during the safety demonstration on airplanes. You aren’t going to be much help to the other passengers if you can’t breathe. In the same way, taking care of yourself as an individual can help you be a better parent, partner, and friend. I can help you develop and build the skills to do just that!
