Hello, I'm Bethany Fowler!

I’m a licensed social worker in Ohio, passionate about working with children and teens (ages 8+) who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals who have difficulty managing emotions. I am, however, open to working with other needs and age ranges. I believe my job as a therapist is to assist clients through their mental health journey by providing guidance and safe space to show up as your most authentic self.

I have training in Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and play therapy. However, I have experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques. I utilize a mixture of these techniques to assist individuals in developing coping skills and emotional regulation skills, recognizing and moving past negative thought patterns and distortions, and reclaiming their story. While I have training and experience utilizing different techniques, your treatment will be tailored to your specific needs and goals.

From my own experiences, I can empathize with the discomfort of working through your experiences and regaining control of your thoughts and actions. It can be scary, overwhelming, or uncomfortable to open up to someone new about your experiences and begin your healing journey. I strive to create a comfortable, safe, non-judgmental space for you to show up as your authentic self and grow. I am always open to feedback from clients on their experiences in counseling with me, as well as what could be adjusted to improve their experiences.

I believe that everyone is worthy of healing and growing, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation, religion, ability, or any other identifiers. If interested in working with me, please reach out to schedule your free 15-minute consultation. I'm looking forward to joining you on your journey!
